Cats drink from moving water and walk past a still bowl, which is how a dehydrated cat happens in a house with a full dish. Rill keeps 1.2 liters moving quietly all day.
Just over a liter means a two-cat family is not refilling every morning. The pump is quiet enough that a nervous cat will still put their head near it. Water recirculates through a multi-stage filter, catching hair and grit before it comes back around.
It runs from USB, so it works off an adapter or a power bank with no mains brick in the way, and it comes apart by hand for cleaning with no tools.
